Zhejiang University successfully held the first psychological science youth scholar forum

In order to promote frontier exploration and applied research in the related fields of psychological science, the Center for Psychological Sciences at Zhejiang University held the first "psychological science youth scholar forum" from April 28th to 29th, 2017，together with the Department of psychological and behavioral sciences. 7 scholars from Harvard University, Princeton University, University of Cologne, University of Gottingen, University of Gottingen,Australian National University and the institute of psychology, Chinese Academy of Sciencethe psychological and 7 scholars from the psychological and behavioral science research center, the Department of psychology and behavior science, the College of computer science, the school of education, etc. have joined the forum to explore scientific issues that are closely related to our work and life.

The report includes basic theory research, "Research on the development of dynamic information perception in infancy", "Research on the processing mechanism of biological movement in working memory", "Research on information integration of working memory and the form of representation",and research on technical methods such as "Research on the methods of three-dimensional dynamic gesture recognition based on space-time segmentation", "Development of new functional magnetic resonance imaging methods and real-time feedback of brain imaging for intensive learning", "Interactive display technology and its outlook", "Techniques and data analysis methods for multi-channel recording in the field of advanced cognitive function".Moreover,it also includes the applied research on "Early diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease","The role of environment and human characteristics in the risk of falling accidents" and "User portrait based on communication data".

The rapporteur is closely related to the forefront and hot issues in today's psychological science research. It impressed us with rigorous attitude and simple explanation. The "fancy" questions of audience and the sparkling discourse answers of rapporteur pushed the forum to one high tide after another.

Psychological science is an important discipline to study mental health, mental function and behavior of human beings. It is also a discipline connecting natural science and humanities.With the advent of the 3 era of innovation and the rapid development of large data and artificial intelligence, human beings will enter the era of deep blending between the physical world and the virtual world. The problem of human mental health is more prominent. Psychological Science in the future will usher in new opportunities for development and shoulder the responsibilities of new missions. The Center for Psychological Sciences at Zhejiang University came into being under such a big background. It is the main idea to carry out the research on the frontier exploration and the application of industrial innovation in the related fields. The characteristic forum is aimed at building up a communication platform for young scholars at home and abroad, which has continuously injected new vitality and source into the research of psychological science.
